§ 12.12.020. Purpose.

It is the purpose of this chapter to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare and to minimize public and private losses due to improper driveway installation by provisions to regulate:

A.

The general location of driveways in relationship to town roads;

B.

Provide for safe site distances for safe entry onto town roads from private driveways;

C.

Control to the maximum degree possible, any adverse flooding conditions, soil erosion or subsequent non-point source pollution;

D.

Control filling, grading, dredging or other construction that affects storm water flow along Town roads; and

E.

To regulate the dimensions of culvert piping in ditches along town roads.
